Skydiver Plummets 25,000 Feet With No Parachute and Lives

Jumping out of a perfectly good plane is always something that’s not been on my bucket list. I’m not a fan of heights, but mostly I’m not a fan of dying from the fall. At least people have parachutes when they’re skydiving, or so I thought.

Luke Aikins doesn’t like parachutes (that’d the only logical explanation) and he loves skydiving. Because of this, Luke only has one option – jump out of a plane without a parachute and land in a giant net 25,000 feet below him. You’d think the net would be massive – it technically is as far as nets go – but 25,000 feet has a lot of room for error, and a massive net starts looking pretty tiny when you’re coming in at 120mph.

Aikins makes the landing, fortunately, and with it he somehow manages to make skydiving look a lot less risky.
