Japan’s Space World was forced to close down their ice rink after freezing 5,000 fish into the floor of the attraction. After opening the winter attraction consisting of frozen fish, crabs and shellfish they called “Freezing Port,” backlash from the public forced them to shut it down.
Reaction to news of the attraction was understandably met with severe backlash from the public.

Apparently the park was surprised the reaction to the frozen fish was less than a happy one.
“We were shocked to hear the reaction as the ice skate rink was very popular since it opened two weeks ago, we had an unprecedented number of visitors,” said Space World manager Toshimi Takeda.
“(But) we had endless opinions about the project, we were shocked … We are sorry for the project and decided to close the rink on that night.”
We’re not sure who Space World has in charge of their new ideas for guest attractions, but they probably want to look into hiring someone else.
Space World’s Facebook page has deleted all posts connected to the attraction.
