When Henrik Stenson of team Europe called out an American heckler during practice for the Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club, no one knew what was about to happen.
The heckler, David Johnson of North Dakota, just had to do one thing – make a put…in front of hundreds of fans. The challenge was made even better when Justin Rose stepped in and offered $100 if Johnson made the putt.
Johnson stepped up and took the putt. He sank it and the crowd erupted in applause and cheers. In an interview after everything went down, Johnson still looked like he was trying to process what happened and was trying to figure out how to get the hundred dollar bill signed.
