Extremely high temperatures during the summer months at India’s Tadoba National Park means water becomes even more scarce. This leads to animals congregating around waterholes in order to have enough water to survive.
Predator and prey can be found at these spots at any given time. Naturally, that leads to some intense encounters, like this fight between a tiger and a sloth bear that was defending her cub.
At first, it looks like the tiger could end it quick, but the mother sloth bear is way more aggressive than her name implies. After a 15 minute battle, each animal walks away from it, but it looks like they both suffered some serious injuries.
