A group of scientists wasn’t prepared for their deep-sea discovery of a gulper eel while on an expedition in Hawaii.
The bizarre looking creature can inflate its pouch-like mouth in order to swallow large prey and to intimidate would-be attackers.
When the scientists’ discover the eel, it’s already in defense mode and puffed up. Their reactions are a mixture of perplexed and curious as they hilariously commentate on its appearance while trying to figure out what it is.
They eventually figure it out when the eel transforms before their eyes and reverts back to its normal, tiny state and swims off.
