If you ever find yourself wondering how quickly a bear can actually get up a tree, let Jeffrey Moffatt’s nerve-wracking encounter show you. Moffatt was up in a tree stand when he noticed a black bear had found its way to the bottom of the tree. Before he could do anything the bear had made its way from the ground all the way up to Jeff and just stopped there, face to face with the hunter.
Fortunately for Moffatt, the bear was mostly curious and quickly descended the tree after sniffing around for a few seconds. We’re not sure if he needed a new pair of pants after this or not but we can imagine it took a while to get his heart out of his throat.
