It looks like fishermen aren’t the only ones in town using nets. These bottlenose dophins have developed an interesting way to catch multiple fish at one time, creating their own seafod buffet.
They create “mud nets,” which they create by swimming around in a circle while beating their tail into the ocean floor. As they do this they are constantly making the circle smaller and smaller as the wall of sand pushes fish close to the center. Once they have narrowed the circle down enough, the dophins wreak havoc on the fish as they eat their fill.
