Imagine you’re on a massive ship and you have two options for the path to your destination. One path takes you a little out of the way but offers smooth seas and the other takes you right through one of the worst winter storms we’ve ever seen on the east coast.
The choice seems pretty obvious, but passengers on the Norwegian Breakaway found out the hard way that the obvious choice isn’t always what people choose when their ship tackled the storm head-on.
The ship managed to not sink, but the aftermath included water-filled hallways, snowy decks, leaking ceilings, wind, rough seas and a whole lot of ticked off passengers.
