Terry Clark is having a pretty great 2019 so far. That’s because the whale lover and volunteer whale spotter has seen humpback whale after humpback whale off of her balcony at Flagler Beach since the new year.
“It’s a very active year at the ocean that we haven’t seen in almost two years,” Clark said.
Clark is actually part 200 volunteers who are helping Marineland track whale activity along 70 miles of Florida coastline.
Researchers aren’t exactly sure why there are so many whales popping up several months earlier than normal, but you won’t hear Clark complaining.
