Marvin Muller and Tiffany Corlis captured some incredible pictures and video after stumbling across a fight between a massive snake and a crocodile at Lake Moondarra near Mount Isa in northwest Queensland, Australia.
“Pretty cool experience, not something you think you’re going to see but I guess up in Mount Isa in the outback you see some pretty cool things,” Muller said.
Corlis had her own perspective of the battle as the snapped pictures with her camera phone.
“The crocodile was fighting at the start, it was trying to keep its head out of the water and survive,” she said. “But as the morning progressed you could tell both of them were getting a little weaker as the struggle was going on, finally the croc sort of gave in.”
She says the most unexpected thing was that the snake actually ate the croc.
“You could see the crocodile in the snake’s belly which I think was probably the more remarkable thing.”
“You could actually see its legs and see its scales and everything, it was just amazing.”
