This is one that you’ll miss if you don’t watch closely!
A school of bluegill were captured on camera as they were mesmerized by bait jigging up and down in front of them. Unfortunately, they were so preoccupied with the jig that they didn’t notice the northern pike that creeped up on them — until it was too late.
Once they see the pike, they begin to scatter, but it’s already too late for one unsuspecting bluegill as it’s swallowed whole before it knows what’s happening.
We’ve gotta admit, we didn’t see that pike at all until it went in for the kill. Life is tough down there for a bluegill!
