Every single year, mule deer migrate 150 miles across western Wyoming, making their migration the longest large mammal migration in the continental United States. This far reaching journey isn’t without obstacles either. From predatorial animals and bodies of water to highways and fences, these deer face a lot as they travel to a destination they’re more than likely been taking for generations.
Researchers have only fairly recently discovered this incredible journey that’s been taking place right under our noses for years.
