Man 3D Prints Working Revolver That Uses Rubber Band and Nail to Fire Bullets

It was just a matter of time before 3D printed weaponry went mainstream. For better or worse, the time is here.

The weapon can hold six bullets and is printed in ABS plastic. The creator, James R. Patrick, shared the plans for download. 3D-printed guns circumvent most gun regulations by being made at home. The revolver has been named PM522 Washbear. It fires .22LR bullets, common in small-game hunting rifles and some pistols.

Here is an explanation and video from the creator, “This video covers my new 3D-printed revolver design, called the PM522 Washbear. The Washbear is a 6- or 8- shot pepperbox revolver, chambered in .22 LR.”
