Forget flushing an alligator down the toilet, this Illinois man kept a pet gator in his basement for 26 years. Charles Price is facing heat after officials discovered and removed a 6-foot, 200-pound alligator from his home. Price says the animal was kept in a cage, had been treated very well and was fed food scraps like chicken breasts.
Price is scheduled to appear in court for unlawful possession of an endangered species, which would carry a misdemeanor charge.
