Despite their mostly friendly reputation at SeaWorld, orcas didn’t get the nickname of ‘killer whale’ by accident. When it comes to them and eating, nothing will stop them from getting what they want. A pod of orcas work together with military precision to bring down a baby gray whale after separating it from its mother.
All hope seems lost for the calf until a pod of humpback whales intervene by getting between the killer whales and the wounded calf. It’s a hard-fought battle, but the orca pod proves to efficient in their plan of attack and kill the calf. Though they failed, the humpback whales continue to battle against the orcas and chase them off, preventing them from feeding.
