Viktor Johnson and his friends had no idea what they were about to discover when they further investigated a giant rock in the middle of a frozen lake.
“We had just finished our lunch, we looked out the window and saw that the ice looked strange a few hundred metres from the shore,” Johnson said. “About seven metres from a small island across the bay, it looked like someone had threwn a huge rock onto the ice, but through the binoculars we could see that “the rock” really was a moose struggling to get out of the water. It was evident that it was having problems.”
That moose was having some serious problems. Lucky for it, these guys came along and went to work, breaking up the ice around it as it continued to struggle. After several minutes, they finally managed to free the moose, which ran off after recovering from its harrowing ordeal.
