As far as dumb ideas go, this one ranks really high up there – it doesn’t help that I hate stinging bugs of any kind. But, there are stinging bugs, and there’s the tarantula wasp. The largest of species of wasp in existence, the tarantula wasp has a sting rating of 4 on the Schmidt Pain Index of Insect Stings. Needless to say, tis guy may be a little insane, but the pain from a tarantula hawk’s sting only last for about 3-5 minutes. That’s nothing compared to the number one most painful insect sting, belonging to the bullet ant, which Coyote from Brave Wilderness plans to undergo next. The pain from the bite lasts from 12-24 hours.
