Fire Ants Are Buildings Rafts with Their Bodies to Survive Houston Flooding

After flooding swept through Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey hitting, the city entered a state of destruction. Even though Harvey downgraded to a tropical storm, that didn’t mean the devastation stopped.

As the flooding swept through the city, people came together and started helping each other in some incredible ways.

It turns out it wasn’t just people that came together to help one another. Fire ants have also been noticed banding together, although in this case they came together and formed a horrifying raft made of ants.
