The captain of the 105-meter Elsava inland freighter was responsible for a comically bizarre accident in which he wedged the vessel between a bridge and the river bank of Germany’s Main river. The river was closed to all traffic during the incident.
Upon arriving to the scene, authorities administered a breathalyzer and found a blood alcohol level of 0.15, prompting the arrest of the captain.
