There aren’t many scenarios these days that would result in a funeral involving the deceased to be sent out in a bout and set on fire like a true viking. So when a viking funeral is in order, people tend to take notice.
One such individual who was viewed as worthy of this practice upon their death was a fish named Peeping Tom. He was a fish who lived in the bathroom, “watching people poop and shower,” as his owner said in a post about the passing of his pet fish.
Peeping Tom was a fish who never complained or asked for more than was offered him in his 6 and a half years. He spent his life quietly, simply enjoying whatever scenery he found himself face-to-face with while swimming around in the bathroom. But Tom did need one thing, which turns out to be the thing that was taken from him that he needed to survive – sunlight.
The father of the owner of the fish ended up placing the fish in a dark space, devoid of solar rays, which lead to the demise of ol’ Peeping Tom. After realizing what he had done, the father of the boy constructed an awesome ship – named after Peeping Tom who lived in a bathroom after all – for the fish to have his final voyage on.
Somewhere out there, Tom is in a bathroom full of all the sunlight he could possibly imagine, faced with an eternity of his favorite past-time.
