The Coast Guard rushed into action on Saturday after receiving a distress call from a 73-foot commercial fishing boat called Capt. Alex. Received at about 8:45 p.m., the call said the captain of the boat had severe chest pains and need immediate medical attention.
The captain ended up being taken to a Norfolk, Virginia hospital on a Jayhawk helicopter. There are many challenges with hoisting someone onto a helicopter at night, but the crew did an amazing job.
