After being found emaciated, missing a significant portion of her beak and near death in Alaska, Beauty the bald eagle was given a new chance at life with a 3D printed beak. Unable to take proper care of herself before, she would’ve died had this team not intervened when they did.
Despite everyone telling her that Beauty would never make it, Jane Cantwell, the eagles medic, enlisted the help of an engineer and a dentist to create the prosthetic beak that would save the birds life. After a two hour surgery, Beauty had her new beak and was ready to go back out into the world like nothing ever happened.
