An MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew rescued two people from their sailing vessel that was drifting and taking on water 30 nautical miles northwest of Marquesas Key, Florida, January 17, 2016. The men were caught in a storm that tore their vessels sails and cracked their hull.
Lt. Matthew Swanner says the conditions were the worst he and his crew had ever experienced in the Gulf of Mexico. At the time of rescue, there were 40-knot winds and 20-foot seas.
