WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: Fish have been left flapping all over a Perth jetty, just a week after graphic pictures of salmon being bled caused outrage on social media.
Images and video posted to Perth and WA Fishing Reports’ Facebook page this week showed fishermen at Woodman Point’s Ammo Jetty in Coogee leaving catches on the ground to bleed as they continued to fish at the popular spot.
According to Perth Now: The posts were removed from the page as media reports began to emerge.
In a new post to the Facebook page, administrators have warned the images are giving “every single angler a bad reputation in the public eye”.
“There is no excuse for this and these disrespectful fishers are ruining it for the rest of us,” the post read.
“If this is coming from lack of awareness, we are telling you now, this is not acceptable.
