We never get tired of seeing surfers take on monster waves. Seeing someone take on a multi-story wall of water is equal parts exhilarating and terrifying — and we’re just watching someone do it!
But with every triumph, there are the inevitable wipeouts. With big waves, those wipeouts get a lot more complicated and can kill anyone forced under by them if they aren’t completely prepared.
Being good at holding their isn’t enough in cases when surfers can be underwater for over a minute. It takes specialized skills and a lot of practice.
