A video claiming to be a recording of rain falling in one place like a waterfall in Kpalime, Togo popped up on YouTube on May 20, 2016. If you though the clip looks more like a geyser, you may not be far off.
The actual clip has been making the rounds around the web since this time last year and is either water gushing from a burst pipe or a geyser. The clip isn’t actually filmed in Togo either; it’s been said to have originated in places like Indonesia, China and Vietnam in other posts.
The reason it could be mistaken for water falling to the ground is simply because the top of the spurt is out of frame or obscured by trees. If you look closely you can spot a central eruption of water coming from the ground as the surrounding water falls back to the ground.
O360 Take:
It’s obvious pretty early on that this isn’t some miracle pouring down of rain in a concentrated area. Even though it can be slightly hard to distinguish the water and the sky due to their lack of contrast, it’s obvious at the 1:10 mark that what you’re looking at is coming from the ground.
It looks like another overreaction from people baited into watching a video with misleading title.
