Residents of Foshan Guangdong, China witnessed a shocking sight this past week when they observed what appeared to be a massive floating city (there were even skyscrapers) in the sky.
The spectacle was witnessed by hundreds of locals as they snapped pictures and took video before it completely disappeared after a few minutes.
The most likely source of the floating city is most likely the cause of a mirage or a Fata Morgana, a superior mirage that is the result of air on the surface of the earth being cooler than the air above it.
Another theory is that this is the result of testing the general reaction of the public for new hologrphic technology that is being kept top secret. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this one because these movies would be way better than sitting through RealD 3D.
If it does turn out to be an actual giant floating city caused by a temporary vortex allowing us to see into a parallel universe, it’s been nice knowing you.
