You wouldn’t be wrong if you were to call Alex Hannold insane. That’s because the accomplished climber decided to climb Yosemite National Park’s El Capitan with absolutely no gear. All he used were his hand, shoes and some chalk.
Climbing with gear is a sport that already requires no mistakes. To do it without gear when you’re facing a 2,500-foot drop if you make one wrong move requires absolute perfection.
The view from the top might be gorgeous but we’re just glad it’s him and not us!
