A more appropriate name for the “Duck Dynasty” might actually be “Beard Dynasty,” but it’s not as catchy of a title for the A&E show. That’s probably why it’s so surprising to see Jase Robertson shave off his beard and cut his hair, considering he’s had a massive beard and long hair since becoming widely known through the hit show.
Robertson cut it off this Labor Day weekend for his family’s foundation, the Mia Moo Fund. The foundation raises awareness about cleft lip and palate and the funds for the research and treatment of it.
The foundation, which is named after his daughter who was born with a cleft palate and completed surgery for it, hits close to home for Jase. He was on a mission to raise $100,000 for the foundation and promised to cut his beard and hair off if he reached the goal.
He didn’t end up hitting the $100,000 mark, but he did still go through with the cut and shave after raising $35,000.
