Tom Morgan must be a big man of Pixar because his balloon stunt is like something straight out of the movie, Up.

Instead of a house, Morgan decided to strap 100 helium balloons to a chair and take it for a ride at 8,000 feet in the air. It took the 38-year-old two days to fill the balloons with helium, which he traveled nearly 16 miles with.

Timing was everything in having the right conditions for a perfect ride.

“The problem was finding a good weather window and it was difficult to protect the balloons as they kept bursting,” Morgan said.

But once the conditions were ideal, it made for an amazing experience.

“It was completely silent and the view was amazing – the whole thing was magical but I don’t think it will be a commercial success.”
