Feral hogs aren’t easy to take out through traditional hunting methods. At least, it’s too difficult to take them out in the numbers the need to be reduced by without getting a little inventive.

Ray Shinpaugh has been working on a way to take out as many feral hogs as possible with the least effort over the last few years and it looks like he’s on to something. Armed with a side-by-side, thermal monocular shotgun with a laser, he’s able to take them out in a surprise attack.

He does so by sneaking up on groups with the help of thermal optics, positioning themselves in a good position and flipping the lights on, causing the hogs to run out into the open. The result can be seen in the video below as his methods are shown in full effect.
