One of the greatest things about Florida is that despite insanely hot it can be at any given time of the year, you’re only ever about three feet away from some type of water.

A black bear was recently spotted enjoying the benefit of a nice dip on a hot day in the St. Johns River in Jacksonville. Raoul Hosein captured footage of the bear on its swim after spotting it while on his jet ski.

Bears are known to be strong swimmers, so it’s no surprise that even thoughHosein didn’t record the entire swim session, he says he saw the bear make it all the way to the other side to the shore.

Maybe this means alligators will have something to fear in the water as the temperatures keep rising this summer.
