An absolute monster of a mako shark was caught last weekend off the Georgia coast in Bryan County. The shark was caught by the Vindicator Fishing Team and came in at whopping 440-pounds.
Measuring 8 feet, 1 inch long and 4 feet, 11 inches in girth, this beast was close to double the size of the current state record of 228 pounds, 8 ounces, which was set in 1975.
