At face value, swimming with wild killer whales doesn’t sound like the safest thing in the world. That wasn’t going to stop Johnny Wild, though.
During a close encounter with an orca in the Norwegian Sea, Wild came face to face with an orca that was attempting to eat a herring. It appears the orca temporarily stops its pursuit of the fish when it sees the diver.
Whether or not it stopped because it was curious or didn’t want to run into the diver isn’t clear. However, after giving the diver the once over — you can hear the orca’s sonar — the orca continues its attempts to eat some herring.
