We’ve seen some incredible underwater photography before, but what Ben Thouard is doing in “Surface” is something truly incredible.
After moving to the small village of Teahupoo, Tahiti, Thouard spent the next 15 years perfecting his art of shooting underwater from inside the wave while looking back at the landscape.
“Through this work, I hope people can realize that we need to take care of our garbage and recycle all of the plastic,” he says.
We’d say those 15 years was time well spent and will inspire just that, judging from his incredible finished product.
