Brothers Daniel, Jack and Matthew Aplin made a discovery straight out of a science fiction novel at a New Zealand beach.
While the brothers were looking for a place to dive, they stumbled upon a nearly 15-foot-long squid that had washed up on the south coast of Wellington.
“My brother said ‘what’s that over there?’ and pointed it out,” Daniel said. “It was right next to the track so we pulled over and we were like: ‘It’s a big squid’.”
