A dentist from St. Francisville, Louisiana may have the new state record with a massive 220-230 point non-typical buck he killed with his bow. He didn’t have to go far to find it either.
“I killed the deer inside the city limits — behind my dentist office,” Dr. Frank Sullivan said of the 18-point beast.
Sullivan couldn’t get an exact measurement for the buck because of how absolutely crazy its rack was. It had three drop tines and a third main beam.
“I truly don’t even know how to score a non-typical like this,” he said. “I tried to be conservative.”
In order for Sullivan to get the new state record without velvet, his buck just has to be on the top side of 206 5/8 inches.
