Two kayakers discovered quite the find when they spotted and tried to rescue a baby wallaby while exploring off the coast of Noosa.

The men weren’t having much luck bringing the wallaby to safety. Despite having honorable intentions, the wallaby just wouldn’t cooperate as it kicks one of the men in the head several times while it’s being held.

Luckily for the kayakers and the wallaby, Jonah Cooper saw the predicament they all were in and rode out on a jet ski to help.

“I couldn’t really understand for the life of me how someone in a kayak was going to rescue a wallaby and paddle at the same time, so I thought I’d better provide some assistance,” Mr Cooper told 9News.

It doesn’t take long once Cooper gets the wallaby to have him safely to shore where it bounces off, happy to be done with its aquatic ordeal.
