Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver Won’t Let Criticism Keep Him From Hunting and Fishing

We respect anyone who stands up for what they believe in and doesn’t let critics discourage them. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith proved that he is more than willing to let his critics hate on his love of hunting and fishing – he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon – in a recent tweet.

It appears Smith isn’t alone in his love for these outdoor activities. Carson Wentz, the Eagles quarterback, and Fletcher Cox, Eagles Defensive tackle, retweeted Smith.

Wentz hasn’t been one to shy away from hunting either. When asked in an interview about what he likes to do off the field, he didn’t hesitate to talk about his love of hunting:

Hunting is big. I fish a little bit, but I’m more into the hunting world. I fell in love with it when I was in college. It’s a release from football to get away. In college, it’s football all the time. Going forward, it’s going to be football, football, football. Hunting is a good release, good way to get away from the game and just decompress, even it’s just for a couple hours. I’ve always enjoyed it. I’ve got a 3-year-old golden retriever that I’ve raised. She hunts with me too. She loves it. Always makes it more enjoyable.

We’re just glad to see people in the spotlight who love hunting stand up for what they love.
