When Tim Little got a call from Cody Meyer, saying he needed help weighing a monster spotted bass he just caught, Tim didn’t hesitate. He could’ve though, because Cody was 3 1/2 hours away and Tim is the current world record holder for a spotted bass. But Tim is a true lover of the sport and wouldn’t let a silly thing like losing a world record title stop him from seeing a world-class spotted bass.
We’d say the trip was well worth Little’s time. Meyer’s spotted bass came out to 10.80 pounds, which will beat Little’s world record of 10 pounds, 6 ounces, if everything comes out okay. Whatever happens, a 10.80 pound spotted bass is something many fishermen won’t ever see, so Cody should be proud.
