If you’re looking to score drugs, there are probably better ways to do it than scooping them out of a police disposal box where people can safely dispose of them.
A man in California didn’t quite understand why taking drugs from such a box was a bad idea when he was busted by police while in the act. A Santa Barbara sheriff’s officer spotted the man attempting to get paraphernalia out of such a box using fishing line – kind of like one of those claw machines at an arcade.
The man was immediately arrested (obviously) and charged with possession of stolen property, petty theft, possession of burglary tools, prowling and possession of controlled substances.
