A video posted by Darrell Ruger on Facebook Sunday is going viral because it shows a shark getting MAULED by a MONSTER shark live on Facebook!
The video taken at the Jacksonville Pier shows a shark eating another shark.
University of North Florida biology professor Dr. Jim Gelsleichter explains the encounter:
“I believe that’s a smaller shark was a black tip and the larger shark looked like a bull shark,” said Gelsleichter.
Gelsleichter says in their research the see evidence left from similar attacks.
“It’s common for us to haul back a half of shark, a shark head, or in some cases a larger shark that got hooked when he grabbed on to a smaller shark,” said Gelsleichter.
He says most people usually don’t catch it on camera — and that it happens more often than we think.
