It would’ve been easy for “Catfish” Chris Lanham to have given up on his love of fishing after a car crash left him paralyzed from the chest down 14 years ago. Many would have thought fishing would be impossible if they had been in Chris’s situation, but he wasn’t ready to throw in the towel – he wanted to fish.

This doesn’t mean it was easy for Chris to get back into fishing. He didn’t hold a rod for a long time after the accident. Then one day, he and his grandpa decided to build a rig that would give Chris back what he had lost.

“Fishing’s has always been my go-to, something I live for,” says Lanham.

In the following video, Chris can be seen showing the pure unadulterated joy that comes from an angler living out their love of the sport despite anything that tried to hold them back.
