Traft is a combination tent and raft that perfectly combines the two into a nonstop outdoor expedition combo platter. The idea of Traft initially started with a cross between a hammock and a raft. After more than a year of research and development, it became the Traft we’re presented with now.
One of the best features of Traft is how easily packable and relatively lightweight it is. It actually only weighs eight pounds and while it probably won’t pass the test for many ultra-light hikers, it offers a great way to explore in ways many haven’t before. Now there’s nothing stopping you from exploring that river or lake that’s off the beaten path.
The tent and raft can be used together or independently from each other. Whichever configuration works best for you, the Traft can easily break down on the fly to offer a separate shelter and a raft.
Traft is built from TPU materials known for their toughness and is available in a 96-inch model for $900. A 102-inch version is in development and should be available at some point in the next few months.
