If you thought those Facehugger’s from the Alien movies didn’t actually exist, then you might not want to visit Hawaii anytime soon. That’s because the state is home to a species of caterpillar that prefers to eat other insects more than plants.

The strange-looking caterpillar makes use of its long, almost tail-like lower body and it’s claw-like upper body to ambush prey and devour them before they know what hit them. Here’s to hoping they don’t get any bigger or turn into Mothra when they become butterflies.
