With hunting season right around the corner, whitetail bucks like this guy are in the final stages of shedding their velvet. It’s crazy to think that such massive antlers (in cases such as this) just started growing in the spring and they’re already in their final stages where solid bone is visible.
This particular buck is trying to get the last bits of velvet off its antlers with the help of branches, bushes and twigs – pretty much anything in sight. He starts off slowly at first, but by the end he’s going full force as he attempts to rid himself of the dangling velvet in order to fully expose all 10-points of his antlers.
Hunting season is almost here! It’s been too long.
