It’s that time of year again – spring break. A time where school’s out and the first big vacation of the year takes many to the beach. It’s also the time of year where 10,000-12,000 blacktip sharks migrate to coastal waters around Florida.
This year a group of migrating blacktips ran into a massive, unwelcome guest. While grouped up and focusing on eating and mating (or vice versa) a hammerhead came up and decided to crash the party by causing as much mayhem as possible. The 15 to 18 foot long hammerhead made it clear that, shark or not, it was dinner time and they were on the menu.
