Anyone who’s ever hunted the elusive ruffed grouse knows how hard it can be to track one down.
Despite that, Larry Pease had the most incredible encounter with a grouse we’ve seen while bowhunting for deer. While waiting in his stand a grouse comes down and lands right on his arrow. It’s almost like it was taunting him to try and make a move.
These beautiful birds are known for their incredible tail fans and how good they are at pulling a vanishing act. An encounter like this is a once in a lifetime encounter and we’d be lying if we didn’t admit we were more than just a little bit jealous!
