Could a mythical sea creature have just been discovered washed up on the shore in Georgia?
Beachgoers at St. Simons Island were left wondering just what washed up on shore after Jeff Warren and his son discovered something bizarre at Wolf Island National Wildlife Refuge last Friday.
Warren says he thought it was a dead seal at first, but after looking closer thought it resembled the Loch Ness monster. He decided to take a picture of the creature and send it to News4Jax.
Despite causing some people to believe that this was a creature similar to the Loch Ness monster, experts are calling it a hoax.
Marine biology experts at Jacksonville University are claiming it’s fake based on the photo but would like to examine the carcass if anyone has it. Since they aren’t able to examine the body and no one reported seeing it except for Warren, it doesn’t have a lot backing up its claims of being real.
