Apparently when sharks aren’t busy munching on dinner or terrorizing spear fishers, they can be found trying their hardest to imitate a live glow stick to attract a mate. The phenomenon is know as bioluminescence and allows sharks to identify gender and even species based on the specific glow being emitted.
